Explanation: The sand and abrasion resistance testing machine is used to test the wear resistance of organic coatings (such as aluminum-plastic composite panels or metal paints, automotive paints, etc.) under standard conditions. Allow a certain size of gravel to fall onto the test sample through a conduit from a specified height until the substrate is exposed. Weigh the amount of sand required to damage the paint film, and evaluate the wear resistance of the paint film using the standard amount of sand used per unit coating thickness. The testing method of this instrument complies with the American Industrial Standard ASTM D968-83 and the JG/T 133-2000 standard.
